BRSCC Brings Endurance, Juniors and Classic Racing to Donington Park This Weekend

The British Racing and Sports Car Club returns to Donington Park National Circuit on 18-19 July 2026 for the Netherton Hall Holiday Cottages Donington Park Summer Race Weekend, one of the most varied club motorsport programmes of the season. The Leicestershire venue will host endurance racing, junior talent, classic single-seaters, touring-style tin-tops and iconic Minis across two packed days of action.

The event is supported by Netherton Hall Holiday Cottages, a self-catering venue built around a 17th-century hall near the Peak District, offering period character, contemporary accommodation, a private indoor heated swimming pool complex, dog-friendly cottages and livery stables.

Endurance Racing Headlines the Weekend

Endurance racing forms the backbone of the Donington programme. On Saturday, the Fun Cup Endurance Championship runs both a one-hour race from 11:45 and a three-hour race from 15:55 to 18:55. Sunday adds the PBS Brakes SuperSport Endurance Cup two-hour race from 13:45 to 15:45, and the Silverlake C1 Endurance Series closes the weekend with a three-hour race from 16:00 to 19:00.

Strategy, pit work, consistency and mechanical sympathy will all be decisive factors across those long-format contests.

Fun Cup: Title Fight at the Midpoint

The Fun Cup Endurance Championship arrives at Donington with genuine title tension. Team GRD lead the standings on 262 points, with Greenheath second on 244, GCI Racing third on 242 and UVio Hofmann's Motorsport close behind on 233. The Masters standings are even tighter, with Signature RV leading on 273 points, just two ahead of GRD.

Fiesta ST240: Twenty Points Cover the Top Three

The AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship has one of the closest points battles of the season. Alastair Kellett leads on 250 points, Graeme Colfer sits second on 243 and Gary Miller third on 230. Only 20 points cover the entire top three. The Am class is equally competitive, with Brady Pollock leading on 142 points ahead of Marco Ricci on 130.

Fiesta Juniors: McInerney in Command

The BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship has been dominated by Dara McInerney, who took all three victories and set fastest lap in every race at Anglesey. He now leads on 260 points, ahead of Oliver Heron on 222, Bobby Holmes on 215 and Lewis Islin on 208. Several young drivers also claimed maiden podium finishes at Anglesey, including Oscar Homerstone, Daniel Takyi, Jenson Pritchard and Barnaby Brewer.

Super Classic Formula Ford: Pure Single-Seater Action

The Geoff Page Engineering Super Classic Pre '99 Formula Ford Championship brings traditional open-wheel racing to Donington. Harrison Morrow leads the overall standings on 148 points, with Tom Hawkins second on 131 and Luke Cooper third on 129 after two wins at Silverstone.

Classic Minis: Family Rivalry and Photo Finishes

The Classic Mini Racing Championship adds a unique storyline to the weekend. Neven Kirkpatrick leads the championship on 81 points, with his father David second on 66. Will Burnham is third on 58 points after missing victory at Silverstone by just 0.158 seconds in the final race.

SuperSport Endurance: One Point Separates the Top Three

The PBS Brakes SuperSport Endurance Cup has arguably the tightest championship fight in the BRSCC paddock. David May and the 118 Rescue Ginetta squad lead on 92 points, level with Matt Mills and James Larminie, while Martin Rich and Stuart Humphrey sit just one point back on 91. Sunday's two-hour race at Donington could be a season-defining moment for all three crews.

C1 Endurance: Three Hours to Close the Weekend

The Silverlake C1 Endurance Series closes Sunday with a three-hour race. At Silverstone, Trojon Motorsport's Adam Willis and Austin Munday won the Pro class after 128 laps, with MDA's Michael Dark and Darren Ball claiming Am class honours and finishing third overall.

Donington Park's National layout, with its drafting opportunities, heavy braking zones and the challenge of Craner Curves and the Old Hairpin, should produce exactly the kind of non-stop action that defines C1 endurance racing.

A Complete Picture of British Club Motorsport

With multiple championship battles finely balanced and endurance races stretching across both days, the BRSCC's Donington Park Summer Race Weekend offers one of the most compelling club motorsport programmes of the summer. From Fun Cup strategy to Classic Mini photo finishes, the National Circuit is set to deliver two full days of grassroots racing at its best.
