FEKC Round 5 Delivers Tight Battles and Seven Finals at Forest Edge Kart Club

Forest Edge Kart Club hosted a full day of competitive karting on 5 July 2026, as FEKC Round 5 brought together drivers across Cadet, Rotax and KZ categories. Seven finals were contested, producing dominant wins in some classes and margins as tight as 0.24 seconds in others.

The event took place at Forest Edge Kart Club near Barton Stacey, Winchester, on MOD land where the club's marshals and officials construct and dismantle the venue infrastructure around each race weekend. The circuit combines fast straights with technical corner complexes, demanding both commitment and precision from every driver.

Honda Cadet 200: Skilton Controls the Final

Max Skilton opened the afternoon finals with a controlled performance in the Honda Cadet 200. He won the 15-lap race and recorded the fastest lap, a 47.19 on lap seven. Cruz Jenkins finished second, 10.50 seconds behind. William Woods completed the podium in third, 21.15 seconds off the lead.

Rotax Cadet: Pocock Wins by 0.24 Seconds

The Rotax Cadet Final produced the closest finish of the day. Rio Pocock took the win after 15 laps, with Junior Wright crossing the line just 0.24 seconds behind. Pocock also set the fastest lap with a 46.97 on lap 14. Wilfred Tomlinson finished third, 8.44 seconds adrift.

Rotax Inter: Ball Holds Off Dann

Harvey Ball won the Rotax Inter Final by 0.52 seconds after 16 laps, holding off Oliver Dann despite Dann recording the fastest lap of the race, a 43.75 on lap 12. Alfie Garrett completed the podium in third, finishing 8.56 seconds behind the winner.

Junior Rotax Max: Rose Converts Pace into Victory

Travis Rose won the Junior Rotax Max Final over 17 laps and also set the fastest lap with a 41.17 on lap seven. Ethan Cossins finished second, five seconds behind. Aaron Clark-Nixon took third, 6.92 seconds off the leader.

Senior Rotax: Alldis Dominates

Will Alldis delivered one of the most commanding performances of the day in the Senior Rotax Final. He won the 18-lap race and took fastest lap with a 40.30 on lap seven. Lucas Howell finished second, 13.90 seconds behind. Freddie Snelling completed the podium 16.14 seconds off the pace.

177 Rotax Max / Masters: Jones Takes a Tight Win

Matt Jones claimed victory in the combined 177 Rotax Max and 177 Rotax Masters Final over 18 laps, also setting the fastest lap with a 40.91 on lap 15. Daniel Hammett finished second, 3.03 seconds behind. Don De Graaff took third, just 0.44 seconds further back.

125 KZ: Price Wins the Finale

Jack Price rounded out the day with victory in the 125 KZ Final after 19 laps. Bailey Rigarlsford finished second, 1.98 seconds behind, and set the fastest lap of the race with a 37.45 on lap nine. Lucas Howell and Reece Paget Lowe were both listed as DNS.

FEKC Round 5 underlined the strength of club racing at Forest Edge. Three finals were decided by less than two seconds, while other classes saw clear winners pull away from the field. Across all seven events, drivers were tested on pace, consistency and racecraft.
