Kajetanowicz Returns to the Wheel of a WRC Car at the Polish Rally of Legends

Kajetan Kajetanowicz and co-driver Maciej Szczepaniak will compete in the 3rd Polish Rally of Legends behind the wheel of a Citroën C3 WRC. The entry, confirmed for the late August 2026 event based in Polanica-Zdrój, gives Polish rally fans a rare opportunity to see one of the country's most decorated drivers in a top-level World Rally Car.

A WRC Machine on the Roads of Kotlina Kłodzka

The Citroën C3 WRC belongs to the generation of rally cars that arrived in the FIA World Rally Championship in 2017. Wide bodywork, advanced aerodynamics, four-wheel drive and approximately 380 horsepower made these machines among the most spectacular rally cars of the modern era. The C3 WRC competed at the highest WRC level between 2017 and 2019. Fans lining the special stages of Kotlina Kłodzka will now get to see one up close.

Kajetanowicz competes under the ORLEN Rally Team banner. He and Szczepaniak have already started together twice in the 2026 season, at Rally Croatia and Rally Poland. The Polish Rally of Legends will be their third appearance together this year.

Kajetanowicz Returns to Familiar Roads

For Kajetanowicz, the start carries personal significance. Kotlina Kłodzka is a region closely tied to key moments in his career. He competed in the Rally of Lower Silesia five times in the area, winning twice, in 2009 and 2012, alongside co-driver Jarosław Baran.

This time, the circumstances are entirely different. The Polish Rally of Legends is not a championship points event. It is a celebration of rallying, built around legendary drivers, iconic cars and passionate fans. Kajetanowicz noted at the time of the announcement that some rallies are defined above all by emotion, memories and the chance to share those moments with supporters.

That is exactly the spirit he intends to bring to Kotlina Kłodzka.

The Event Continues to Grow

The Polish Rally of Legends is a young event. The first edition took place in 2024, yet it quickly attracted strong fan interest. The concept is straightforward: bring exceptional drivers and cars from different eras of rallying together on real special stages.

The third edition takes place in late August 2026, again centred on Polanica-Zdrój. Organisers have prepared 12 special stages covering nearly 70 kilometres in total. The routes run through the technical asphalt roads of the Kłodzko region, roads with a long history in Polish rallying. More than one hundred crews are expected to enter, and the growing quality of the entry list reflects how quickly the event has established itself.
